About me
I am an astrophotographer based in Phoenix, Arizona. I got started after helping my son with his junior high astronomy project. I quickly progressed from visual observing to photography. I started doing remote astrophotography in 2010 when I opened the AZSTARMAN observatory in New Mexico, where I have been ever since.
I have been a member of the East Valley Astronomy Club in Gilbert, AZ, for over ten years. I have lectured at various astronomy clubs in the Phoenix area on remote imaging and image processing. I am a member of the Astronomical League and recipient of 9 APOD awards and have had dozens of images published in Astronomy Magazine and Sky and Telescope.
Fields of expertise
Deep sky image acquisition and processing using multiple programs and techniques. Level of expertise in different post-processing software.
I offer one on one image processing tutoring via Zoom as well as data subscription and data set purchases from my remote setup in New Mexico (Planewave CDK17, Paramount ME, FLI PL16803).
