I've been learning astrophotography since January, 2020. I was involved with astronomy in my teens and early twenties but never had time when I began my career that took me into the world of archaeology with a focus on ancient ecology, China, Japan, and Eastern North America. I'm retired now, enjoying the freedom to pursue this amazing hobby. A while back I moved to a rural location in Southern Ontario, Canada where I have a SkyShed POD and roll-off. I have numerous telescopes, my favourites at the moment being a William Optics FL156 and a Starfield Gear 80. I'm about to test a newly acquired Celestron EdgeHD (8"). The weather where I live, particularly during the winter, doesn't offer many clear nights so TelescopeLive is giving me an outlet. I'm especially interested in the skies I don't have access to in the southern hemisphere.
