NGC 104 Blew A Bubble
NGC 104 Blew A Bubble
Here is my contribution to the March contest, but I did it a little different. I have processed this object before, but never noticed this until this evening. I figured that it must be an artifact on the camera or filter, but then I looked at other images with different equipment and once you notice it you can't help but see it. I'm honestly surprised no one mentions it because it looks really cool to me. I've been telling friends to call it Scotty's Bubble lol

You're so right!! I can clearly see it on my image too and I've got 4 other images of this object I've processed, all with different scopes/cameras, and it shows up on all of them. So just for fun I drizzled this data and guess what....it's just stars but what a coincidence!!
Great Image!!
Tom
I'm surprised no one has ever said something about it. Once you notice it you notice it!
