Spectacular John! I would love to see what is your process is to get these colours. Are you selectively targeting areas with the lasso tool and altering the individual RGB channels in Levels? It's the purple that I have trouble with getting whilst retaining a nice transition.
Thanks Jonathan. My processing is old school. Nothing high tech, like a dynamic pixelmath expression. I do multiple RGB/SHO combinations. Seldom will one combination provide the most pleasing color for the entire image. If you combine the best colors for each region from several combinations into one image, you can get a nice result. The purple is probably too much magenta, a resultant combination from using increased SII and OIII levels in the RGB combination. Desaturating the magenta in PS will help.
Thank you very much John, I shall give that a try as it will fit nicely into my workflow, I've tried dynamic pixelmath expressions in the past and could not get the results that I wanted.
Hi John, I absolutely love this, always like the colours you manage to bring out in your images - I feel the need to revisit this target especially now there is so much more data available.
Thanks, Michelle, for your nice comment.
Thanks, Jarmo. In order to achieve a full spectrum HST palette, I do not completely suppress Ha green and, as a result, its secondary colors, yellow and cyan. Otherwise you get a bicolor tan and blue image.
Nice colors!
