Very nice image, Nik! What palette did you use to combine these SHO images?

I used the standard Hubble palette (SH0). It produced a reasonable image but I spent a bit of time working with Affinity Photo's Selective Colour tool to try to bring out out some of the blue colouration that was lurking in the background.
I always find the Flame Nebula to be a tough target to image in narrowband but I'm pleased with the way that the upper right of the image shows (or mimics) how the bright star Alnilam is illuminating the dusty nebulosity (a bit like the Witch head nebula and Rigel).
