22 Scorpii
22 Scorpii is a single star located in the constellation of Scorpius where it is imbedded in a diffuse nebula at an estimated distance of 410 light years. The diffuse nebulae extends into Ophiuchus. The blue in the image is due to scattered starlight. Dust obscures background starlight in the image. Globular cluster NGC 6144 is also visible in the photo.
