Carina Nebula
Carina Nebula
Carina Nebula - Telescope Live
“I am one of billions. I am stardust gathered fleetingly into form. I will be ungathered. The stardust will go on to be other things someday and I will be free.”
------------------------------
Huge clouds of dust & gas collapse under gravity to form stars & planets. These stars go on to create the elements that we are all made of.
The Carina Nebula is one of the largest regions of active star formation in our galaxy.
It is home to several star clusters, bright & dark clouds of dust & gas, violent explosions and some of the galaxy's most luminous stars.
This image was created using almost 2 hours of Hydrogen-alpha & Oxygen-III data taken from El Sauce Observatory in Chile, via Telescope Live.
