CG 30-31 cometary globules in the constellation Puppis

CG 30 and 31 are a grouping of cometary globules located in the constellation Puppus within the Rubber Nebula. The area consists of several globules and clouds of dark dust, as well as the Herbig Haro HH 120 object.
It is estimated that the blood cells are located 1000 light-years from here.
A cometary globule is an interstellar cloud with a comet-like morphology, consisting of compact, dusty, opaque heads with long, faintly bright tails. Unlike dark nebulae or dark dust clouds, CGs are isolated neutral globules surrounded by a hot ionized medium.
Comet blood cells were only recently identified in 1976.
