Comet Leonard graces past us on Dec 31st. This image is 7.8 deg wide indicating the length of this comets tail (the moon for example is 0.5 deg). This comet has an orbital period of 80,000 yrs. This image is a combination of two panels shot as LRBG 120s exposures.
