The Continent and the Pelican
This image of NGC7000 and IC5070 is a result of careful narrowband color-mapping and re-blending, which has enhanced the colors and contrast. The focus of the image is the intricate dark cloud situated between the North America and Pelican nebulas. To highlight this dramatic interstellar duo, I have chosen a tighter crop, with the Pelican Nebula proudly upright.
