The Crescent Nebula

The Crescent Nebula, also known as NGC 6888, is about 25 ly across blown by winds from its central, massive Wolf-Rayet star. The star is shredding its outer envelope, ejecting the equivalent of the Sun's mass every 10,000 years. This nebula is found in the constellation of Cygnus about 5000 ly away.
