Eagle Nebula (M16)

Messier 16 is about 5,700 light-years away and 70 by 55 light-years in size. The star-forming region, the "Pillars of Creation," was made famous by the HST's 1995 imagery. The columns, resembling an eagle's talons, contain interstellar hydrogen gas and dust.

This image includes data from a Telescope.live observation bundle plus an Advanced Request (to collect more SII and OIII data).
