The Great Lacerta Nebula SH2-126 SPA-1
The Great Lacerta Nebula SH2-126 SPA-1
Thanks again for Telescope Live....clouds for the next week! Here's an image of the Great Lacerta Nebula taken with the SPA-1 scope and their old CCD camera (can't wait to get some CMOS). It's about 1,200 light-years from Earth and the field radius of this image is about 3 1/2 degrees. It amazes me that all this hydrogen gas is excited by the star 10 Lacertae ( blue star at the center of the FOV ).
I did take the orientation from Jarmo Ruuth's APOD ( VERY NICE ) of this object from October 2022....hope you don't mind.
Hope ya like it!

Looks great, well done!
I REALLY liked your APOD of this object! That's why I chose this framing and orientation....like you said "it looks like cosmic waves"!!
