Gum 55
Gum 55 (also known as RCW 113) is a huge region of diffuse nebulosity surrounding the Sco OB1 association and its core ionising cluster, NGC 6231.
This widefield view contains the Prawn Nebula (IC 4628), the Wolf Nebula (SL-17) and vdBH 73 the Large Elephant Trunk (similar to Cepheus Elephant Trunk which is located in IC 1396).
