Herschel’s Jewel Box NGC 4755
Open Star Cluster in the southern hemisphere constellation Crux, discovered by Nicolas-Louis de Lacaille in 1751-1752 while in South Africa. John Herschel described it as "...a superb piece of fancy jewelry".
