IC 1396 LRGBHa SPA-3
IC 1396 is the much larger ionized gas region that encompasses the Elephant's Trunk IC 1396A. The nebula lies at a distance from Earth of 2,400 light-years. Most images of this object are in SHO, it's nice to process the region in LRGB.....but I also added a touch of H-alpha. The image consists of 8 subs each LRGBHa @600s for a total exposure time of 6 hours 40 minutes.
Hope ya like it!
