IC4812
IC4812
I came across this dataset for IC4812 last night on TelescopeLive and had to process it. What a beautiful area of space! These are my favorite types of images to collect and process and nice to see some from the Southern Hemisphere.
The images for this dataset are quite large, roughly 9k pixels by 6k pixels. I ran an batch integer resample on the images using an image container and process container before stacking to make it work faster. Once stacked, I had to use MosaicByCoordinates and GradientMergeMosaic to put the panels together for each channel before I could start processing. This image is once again downsized to 2048px on the long side for sharing on social media to avoid compression and unwanted artifacts.
