Inside M42
Inside M42
I have been somewhat experimental. This is a different rendering of various elements inside M42 which is using data from 3 advanced requests on Chile 5 (HaSiiOiiiBG) that does not follow the traditional Hubble palette, nor the traditional red rendering of the Horse Nebula.
I have learnt my lesson ... Chile 5 has problems when going towards the blue (big halo's and blooming) which took several Photoshop steps to remove.
The total observation time is about 3 hours.

wow, this is a stunning & original image of the M42, IC434 region... Very well done Francesco!
A unique view of this region that I've not seen before in this way, great work!
This is an amazing image. One of my favorites ever. Great work.
Hi Francesco!
I REALLY like the way you processed this beautiful wide-field image!! It's quite a work of art....who says you have to use the conventional color palettes? Your rendition is spectacular. Congratulations on having your beautiful image chosen as the Image of the Week!
