Yes, Blur X works very well to bring out fine detail in objects like M42. I also applied it to the SII dataset as that exhibits some very interesting structure.

I find M42 to be the easiest object to image but one of the hardest to process! The brightness variations need a lot of care and attention.
Likewise with the colours of the SHO palette.
All good fun and practice though. 😊
