M51, a.k.a Whirlpool galaxy, an interacting grand-design spiral galaxy of class SA(s)bc pec ~25 million light-years away and 76,900 light-years wide in Canes Venatici.
The interacting galaxy on the right is dwarf galaxy NGC 5195. These are the most famous interacting galaxy pair.
