M83 Three One-Click Observations
M83 Three One-Click Observations
For this image I combined three one-click observations on the Chile #1 Planewave CDK24. As I was working up the image, I decided to push the envelope on the image resolution.
I started out with the raw files in Pixinsight and then went to Photoshop. I used Topaz Denoise AI to reduce noise, ON1 Resize to upsample the image by 400%, and then another application of Denoise.
Finally I cropped the image to fill the square frame, making the final image about the same pixel dimensions (3056x3056) of the original.
Certainly not space telescope quality but I feel like the image held together quite well for being enlarged four times and it has more impact.
There is no doubt of quality of the instrument at El Sauce. It makes working with the images a pleasure.
