NGC 1232 + NGC 1232A

NGC 1232 and its companion NGC 1232A.
A very interesting object or rather objects. They are located in the constellation Eridanus at a distance of about 60 million light years from us. Many descriptions state that the nearby smaller galaxy orbits as a satellite around the larger one, I would be inclined to say that it is simply a companion. From what can be seen in the photos, I do not see any influence of the stronger one on its small neighbor, as is the case, among others, with M51 and its companion NGC 5195 or NGC 4038 and NGC 4039, where in both cases you can see gigantic bilateral gravitational forces acting on the nearby neighbors which "tear out" the matter of each of them, creating in the future probably one super galaxy. If we wait, we'll find out 😉
