NGC 1291
NGC 1291, a.k.a NGC 1269 a ring galaxy of classification SB0/a and is an early-type spiral galaxy in Eridanus ~33 million light years away. Doubly cataloged, first as NGC 1291, then NGC 1269. The analysis of globular clusters in the galaxy indicates it is an early spiral galaxy, analyzing the ratio of blue (metal-rich) vs. red (metal poor) globular clusters.
