NGC 1316 (Fornax A) and NGC 1317

NGC 1316 (the larger one) is a lenticular galaxy about 60 million light-years away. It is the fourth-brightest radio source in the sky. The smaller barred spiral galaxy, NGC 1317, is about 55 million light-years away (although some estimates have it as far as 88).
