NGC 2014 (revised)
The large nebula, NGC 2014, and its smaller blue neighbour, NGC 2020, are part of a vast star-forming region in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way. NGC 2014 is nicknamed the “Cosmic Reef,” because it resembles an undersea world.
The small blue nebula has been shaped by by a young, massive Wolf-Rayet star.
