NGC 2835 CHI-1 13h Bundle

NGC 2835 is an intermediate barred spiral galaxy, located 35 millions light-year away in the constellation Hydra, with a width of just over half that of the Milky Way (65000 light-years).
Its apparent size is only 6' x 4' and it is not often imaged despite its beauty. The background in its region is also amazing with a lot of galaxies and far galaxy clusters.

The twisting patterns created by the multiple spiral arms of NGC 2835 create the illusion of an eye, which is a fitting description as this magnificent galaxy resides near the head of the water snake. NGC 2835 is seen nearly face-on and it features four or five spiral arms and have numerous HII regions and stellar associations. Although the galaxy is quite symmetric, the northern arms have HII regions that appear brighter than the southern ones which appear less developed in their outer parts than the north ones. (North is right in this image cause i thought it was more beautiful like that).
