NGC 5189
Soooo, I wanted to process an image that is rearly put on here. This is NGC 5189 nicknamed the Spiral Planetary Nebula. I'm not gonna bore you with more info, you can just look online. What you can't see tho is my workflow for the image ;)
*SiriL
- Stacking
*Pixinsight
- Align all layers (HALRGB)
- Do a DBE on all
- Do a maskedstretch on all
- Make a starless version of the Ha and Lum
(Lum for the Decon and Ha so we can add some Ha to the LRGB without adding any red light to the stars.)
- Combine the layers with LRGB combination
- Do a RangeSelection of the Luminance starless version for the mask of the Decon and eventually the saturation boost.
- Do the Decon with the Lum mask on the LRGB image.
-Add in some Ha with a method of crazed_conceptions. (Originally made to boost Ha in galaxies but works fine on nebulea)
*Affinity
- Do a bit of ColorNoiseReduction
*Pixinsight
-Make some saturation boosts with the Lum mask (Just to keep a diffrence between the pn and the stars)
First boosting the colors of the pn and then inverting the image to boost the stars/background.
Integration time:
8*600 LRGB = 5.33 H
12*600 Ha = 2 H
Aaaaaand that's about it!
I hope you like it.
