NGC 5286 a.k.a Cadwell 84
NGC 5286 a.k.a Cadwell 84 a globular cluster ~35,900 light-years away in Centaurus. Maybe one of the oldest globular clusters in the galaxy with an estimated age of ~12.4 billion years. Not perfectly spherical, estimated to be part of the Gaia Sausage or Gaia Enceladus, remains of the dwarf galaxy that merged with the Milky way ~8-11 billion years ago. The bright star photobombing the cluster is M Centauri.
