NGC 5367 in CG12
Reflection Nebula NGC 5367 in Cometary Globule 12.
NGC 5367 is a reflection nebula (blue area close to the end of the structure) around 2500 light years away in Centaurus. It is embedded in the Cometary Globule CG 12 (large brown structure). The reflection nebula is illuminated by a double star H4636 which contains type B4 and B7 stars.
CG12 is remarkedly different to most other Cometary Globules, because it is far away from the galactic disk, it's galactic latitude is more than 21°, I put in it's coordinates into Stellarium and it is indeed off on it's own which is strange.
