NGC 6334
NGC 6334 (CTB 39, GUM 62, RCW 187, Minkowski 1-86, the Cat's Paw Nebula and others) is HII region at the bottom left. This one is located approximately 3,700 light-years away in Scorpius. This as the rest of the nebulosity is collectively designated as Sharpless 8.
Luminance – 10x600s – 100 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 9:11:10x600s – 90:110:100 minutes each – binned 1x1
400 minutes total exposure – 6 hours 40 minutes
Imaged over seven nights in April and July, 2021 and April and May, 2022 at the El Sauce Observatory (Rio Hurtado, Chile) with a FLI PL 9000 on a PlaneWave CDK24 at f/6.5 3974 mm.
