NGC 6729

This is a reflection nebula in the constellation of Corona Australis and is a variable nebula located 424 light-years from Earth in one of the closest star-forming regions. This nebula is located on the line connecting the stars γ Coronae Australis and ε Coronae Australis. The region of sky between these two stars appears to be heavily obscured by interstellar dust, with some bright nebulae standing out, such as NGC 6726 and NGC 6727. The nebula NGC 6729 is the smallest in size in this group, but can be recognized by its distinctly triangular shape, which is brighter at one peak, giving it a somewhat comet-like appearance.
