NGC1999
This bright reflection nebula is in the constellation Orion. The nebula is lit by the bright star, V380 Orionis, located in the center. The dark region (known as the Cosmic Keyhole) in the center was thought to be a Bok globule, but more recent observations indicate that this is an empty region of space.
