A pair of gems: IC 1295 and NGC 6712
This picture portraits two different objets, a globular cluster and a planetary nebula within one degree of field view, The bluish turquoise color of IC 1295 contrats with the reddish color of most of the stars in NGC 6712 making a peculiar chromatic pair. NGC 6712 is 12 billion years old. IC1295 appears very bright in blue and faint in luminance. Taken with CHI-2 by advanced request.
