Rho Ophiuchi Molecular Cloud Complex AUS-2-CCD
The Rho Ophiuchi Molecular Cloud Complex (available here on TL) is a gorgeous and varied target with beautiful nebulae, bright and colorful stars, and some globular clusters thrown in! This image is enormous (7 degrees across!) and is still only a portion of the total structure of the target.
Scotty Bishop's tutorial on APP here on TL really helped because I was experiencing some insane gradient mismatches from the data over multiple nights and varying conditions. I am very pleased with how this came out as it was incredibly difficult, testing my skill and mettle as an astrophotographer and greatly expanded my horizons with this challenging data set.
