Sadr - Crescent Nebula region
Ultra-widefield SHO-image of the Sadr – Crescent Nebula region in Cygnus
This multiple panel mosaic is made from 12 one-click observations of Sadr (Gamma Cygni) and NGC 6888 (Crescent Nebula), captured with SPA-1 and SPA-3 (both Takahashi FSQ-106ED refractors) last couple of months.
Total integration time: 860 minutes
SII: 31 subs of 600s
H-alpha: 26 subs of 600s
OIII: 29 subs of 600s
This mosaic spans an area of 8.9 x 4.4 degrees in Cygnus, showing many emission nebulae (a.o. IC 1318 around Sadr), dark nebulae and other DSO’s.
Astro Pixel Processor (APP) was used for calibrating, registering, stacking and integrating the single one-click observations first, and then creating this mosaic. Post-processing was done in Photoshop (with several plug-ins).
