Sh2-119 Clam Shell Nebula

Sh2-119 HIII region known as the Clam Shell Nebula lies to the west of the North America Nebula but has significantly lower signal level, particularly in Sii and Oiii. This version using CMOS data from SPA-1 is a merge of a 'true colour' version and an SHO version using the same dataset. It has been created from an integration of 48 x 300 sec sub-frames per channel, so 12 hrs integration in total. Pre-processing was done in Astro Pixel Processor, Linear editing in Pix Insight and channel combination in Photoshop. Most of the stars have been removed.
