SH2-308 Dolphin Head Nebula
The Dolphin Head Nebula is an HII region located in the constellation of Canis Major. The nebula is bubble-shaped and surrounds a Wolf–Rayet star named EZ Canis Majoris. This star is in a pre-supernova phase in its stellar evolution. The nebula appearing like a dolphin's head is about 4,530 light-years distant from Earth.
