Also known as the Southern Pleiades, IC 2602 is a brilliant open star cluster located in the constellation Carina. Shining at an apparent magnitude of +1.9, it’s one of the brightest open clusters in the sky and spans about 50 arcminutes, making it larger than the full Moon as seen from Earth.
