Vela Supernova Remnant
Vela Supernova Remnant
The Vela supernova remnant is a supernova remnant in the southern constellation Vela. Its source Type II supernova exploded approximately 11,000–12,300 years ago (and was about 800 light-years away). The association of the Vela supernova remnant with the Vela pulsar, made by astronomers at the University of Sydney in 1968, was direct observational evidence that supernovae form neutron stars.

The Most challenging data set I have ever worked with, combination of RGB with Hydrogen Alpha and Oxygen data are something beyond my skill set. I didn’t give up, I decided to use basic channel theory of which channel will cover which data and I pushed Oxygen and reduce HydrogenAlpha as the HydrogenAlpha data was too much. I am not saying this is perfect, but as an amateur this is what I have come up with my version of Vela Supernova Remnant….
