Post-processing Globular Clusters in PixInsight

Post-processing globular clusters can be tricky, as you can often end up with a blown-out core. The key to a good globular cluster is to make sure that you have a good resolution and contrast all the way to the centre of the cluster. In this tutorial, Bernard Miller will show you how. The software used is PixInsight and the tutorial assumes that you already have your master frames (luminance, red, green and blue).

Awesome. Thanks!
Great video tutorial Bernard .... can I ask a question? I have spent the last 2 days trying to process NGC1851 using this method of reducing "central blowout" ,,,, however, despite using the same set of masks for each of the separate RGB channels when I combine them into a single RGB image I get concentric colored rings in the cluster. Any suggestions on how to get an even spread of colour??? Mike
