About me
I’m a British amateur astronomer, astrophotographer, lecturer and author. I’m best known for my high detailed photographs of the planets. My career in the field spans over twenty five years. My passion for Astronomy first began in 1988 inspired by books in my school library. Since then, I’ve given more than a hundred public lectures on astronomy from local societies to large conference events as well as appearing on national TV and radio. I’m also a fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and asteroid 26732 was renamed damianpeach in recognition of my contributions to astronomy.
Fields of expertise
I’m primarily an observer and photographer of planetary targets (especially Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and The Moon.) I specialise in creating high resolution images of these objects as well as long-term monitoring of their weather and activity.
I can offer one to one tutorial services working on your own data to try new techniques or diagnose problems you may need help with which can be conducted via Zoom or Skype. I also offer an in-depth and extensive library of educational material on Patreon.
