About me
I’m an internationally known astrophotographer who has taught the art and science of image processing since 2005 via books, articles, and lectures. The author of Springer’s definitive guide, Inside PixInsight (available for purchase on Amazon), I provide one-on-one tutoring and produce online workshops and video tutorials on PixInsight, Photoshop, etc. I’ve been a consultant to several manufacturers, including Celestron, and a representative of both Atik and QSI cameras. I also served on the AIC (Advanced Imaging Conference) board and divide my time between astronomy and making music.
Fields of expertise
I'm primarily a deep-sky astrophotographer with a penchant for galaxies in the southern sky. I am particularly good at evaluating others' images from an aesthetic POV; what could be improved to make the image 'Pop!'
At Masters of PixInsight, we offer live and recorded workshops, as well as scripted video tutorials about PixInsight. I also offer one-on-one online sessions that help students produce beautiful images using simple techniques.
