Hello, my name is Federico and I am a 38-year-old Critical Care Physician from Northern Italy. I am passionate about Astrophotography and have been on this journey for a few years.
My interest in Astrophotography began when I took basic Milky Way shots in the mountains on the Italy/Swiss border. As I became more interested in the hobby, I upgraded to a star tracker, which allowed me to achieve even more with my Sony mirrorless camera.
However, I was always looking for new challenges and in 2020 I purchased an AZ-GTI and used the extra time at home during the pandemic to experiment with N.I.N.A. and automated sequences. Though I live in the Milan outskirts and the quality of my sky is quite poor (Bortle 8), I didn't let that stop me. I continued to pursue my passion and a year later, I bought my first telescope and cooled CMOS camera, the ZWO ASI 533MC PRO.
I am continuously learning and improving my skills in processing pictures. If you're interested, you can find my gallery on Astrobin where I have gathered all the pictures I have taken since then, both from my balcony in the city and from my occasional trips to dark sky areas in the mountains.
I would greatly appreciate any comments or feedback!
