SpaceX Makes History with Successful NASA Astronaut Launch

SpaceX made history on Saturday, May 30th, after successfully delivering two NASA astronauts to the International Space Station.  

SpaceX’s Crew Dragon mission was initially scheduled for Wednesday but was unsurprisingly aborted due to inclement weather. The mission was rescheduled for Saturday at 3:22 pm ET, with both NASA and SpaceX teams eager to get underway. The launch was a complete success—the Falcon 9 rocket safely returned to Earth, and the two astronauts on the mission, Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley, faced no problems or any issues along the way. The veteran astronauts successfully docked with the ISS the very next morning, solidifying what’s sure to be a long-lasting, crew-delivering relationship between NASA and SpaceX.
