This is an image of 47 Tucanae, also known as NGC 104. It is a globular cluster about 13,000 light years away in the constellation Tucana. It is the second brightest globula cluster in the galaxy behind only Omega Centauri. It contains millions of stars in a sphere about 120 light years in diameter.
