van den Bergh 96
This reflection nebula is located near tau Canis Major. It lies in the envelope of the large H-alpha region Sharpless 2-310 as attested by the red-tinged surrounding haze. I avoided the use of an H-a filter in order to avoid overwhelming the reflection nebula itself.
