Abell 33 Diamond Ring Nebula
Abell 33 is a planetary nebula located in the constellation Hydra. Abell 33 is part of the Abell catalog of planetary nebulae, which includes 86 objects compiled by George O. Abell in 1966. It is located approximately 2,700 light-years from Earth. A bright foreground star (HD 83535) is visually aligned with the nebula, giving the appearance of a "diamond ring" effect in photographs.
