Arp273 in Andromeda - cropped
The image shows 2 interacting galaxies, UGC1810 and UGC1813 collectively known as Arp273.
It is thought that in the distant past the smaller galaxy, the lower one, passed through its companion. Estimates now place them tens of thousands of light years apart.
UGC1810 has a width of approximately 2 arc minutes and UGC1813 just over 1 arc minute. Although there is a lot of noise and not great resolution, I think the scope has done a great job, somewhat let down by my processing skills in some areas. This is something you might like to consider doing if you like a bit of a challenge.
