Barnard 235
Like other dark nebulae, Barnard 235 appears as an opaque region, obscuring the light from stars and other celestial objects behind it due to its dense interstellar dust and gas. Dark nebulae like Barnard 235 are sites of star formation. The dense regions within these clouds can collapse under their own gravity to form new stars and planetary systems.
They are also important for understanding the composition and distribution of interstellar matter.
