LDN 1235 - The Shark Nebula
This is an image of LDN 1235, also known as the Shark Nebula. It is a nebula complex about 650 light years away in the constellation Cepheus. LDN 1235 is the dark spot in the shark’s head. VDB 149 and 150 are the two blue reflection nebulae at the top and bottom of the shark’s neck. The nebula spans about 15 light years from head to tail.
